Jack Harlow wears a Wynn Hamlyn design on stage in Sydney.
When American hip hop artist Jack Harlow took to the stage at Sydney’s Roundhouse auditorium this week all eyes were on his coordinated brown outfit.
The designer behind the look? None other than Aotearoa’s own Wynn Hamlyn.
Australian stylist Violet Grace Atkinson brought the brand and the Grammy winner together, dressing the Kentucky native in a sleeveless brown knit vest with an orange and white wrap-around collar.
Sharing pictures on her Instagram, Atkinson said she “fell in love with this vest on the runway, had to put it on jack.”

The ribbed knit comes from Wynn Hamlyn’s Resort Spring 23 collection Departure Lounge, available in New Zealand from October. The collection debuted to a great response at Australian Fashion Week in early May.
Wynn Crawshaw, the brand’s designer said it was a welcome surprise to see Harlow wearing the look on stage. “Violet pulled from samples in Sydney so we didn’t know about it.” he told Stuff.
“I am a fan, so it was awesome to see.”
The only New Zealand-based brand with an official show at AFW 2022, Wynn Hamlyn made the most of the opportunity, showcasing bold colour, contemporary twists on knitwear and an appreciation of craft details – alongside bright puffer jackets and tropical prints.
Crawshaw was coy when asked whether Harlow would be wearing Wynn Hamlyn when he arrives in Auckland on Sunday to play a sold out show at The Trusts Arena.
“There is a chance he will be, but who knows.”
