An E-commerce Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing relationships with online retail clients or business partners. This role involves a combination of sales, account management, and digital marketing skills to drive online sales and enhance the overall e-commerce strategy of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with e-commerce clients or partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Understand client needs and business objectives to provide tailored solutions.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales and revenue.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
Digital Marketing and Strategy:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective digital marketing campaigns.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Utilize data analytics to optimize online sales performance and customer engagement.
Project Management:
- Coordinate with internal teams (such as product, IT, and customer service) to ensure seamless execution of e-commerce initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to achieve client goals.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on account performance, sales metrics, and market insights.
- Use analytical tools to monitor and assess the effectiveness of e-commerce strategies.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in sales, account management, or e-commerce is often required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce), digital marketing tools, and CRM software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and generate insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve client issues effectively.
