An E-commerce Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing relationships with online retail clients or business partners. This role involves a combination of sales, account management, and digital marketing skills to drive online sales and enhance the overall e-commerce strategy of the company.


Client Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with e-commerce clients or partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Understand client needs and business objectives to provide tailored solutions.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales and revenue.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.

Digital Marketing and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective digital marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize data analytics to optimize online sales performance and customer engagement.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (such as product, IT, and customer service) to ensure seamless execution of e-commerce initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to achieve client goals.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on account performance, sales metrics, and market insights.
  • Use analytical tools to monitor and assess the effectiveness of e-commerce strategies.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in sales, account management, or e-commerce is often required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce), digital marketing tools, and CRM software.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and generate insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
