Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Blue Team Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring and defending our network and systems from cyber threats. This role involves working with security analysts to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, as well as improving our overall security posture through continuous monitoring and vulnerability management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools and other monitoring systems.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of security incidents and breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in the remediation of identified issues.
- Participate in threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Maintain and update security tools and systems.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.).
- Basic understanding of network protocols and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of incident response and digital forensics.
- Understanding of threat intelligence and threat hunting techniques.
