Position Highlight:
We are looking for Sales Manager for the further strategic development of engine and marine propulsion system for the new unit project for Batam area. In this position you will be responsible for sales projects for the 4 stroke engine – medium and high speed and also marine propulsion system in close coordination with Head of Sales 4 stroke Marine as well as the company organization at headquarters
Responsibilities:
- Defining, planning and executing the winning sales project strategy.
- Analysis of inquiry specifications and definition of suitable propulsion systems including preparation of the technical scope of supply
- Bid preparation of comprehensive marine propulsion systems including their propulsion components such as gearboxes and propeller systems
- Conducting contract negotiations with the customer up to contract conclusion (if necessary in coordination with the all related department) as well as leading interdisciplinary bid teams
- Order/project handover to the order processing department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other engineering fields
- Good commercial knowledge and high technical affinity
- Relevant professional experience minimum 7 years in sales or contract management on the marine business. Experience on the new ship building sales and project will be advantage.
- Having strong relationship with the ship owners (private and governmental), shipyards, ship designer and marines business related.
- High social competence, communicative personality and understanding of customer processes as well as important business contexts
- Independent, structured and committed way of working
- Experience in international business and in dealing with different cultures.
- Very good written and spoken English, other languages are an advantage.
- Willing to be relocated
- Position based in Batam, Kepulauan Riau
