As the Assistant Quarry Manager, you will report to the Quarry & General Manager.
This will involve managing the operations of the manufacturing plant, including production facilities, building structures, equipment and people, while liaising with appropriate personnel to ensure materials, quality of products and services, safety, and designs meet or exceed expectations.
Job Descriptions
1. Managing the quarry plant operations which include the smooth running of the quarry plant, haulage of rocks, repairs and maintenance, purchase of spare parts, arrangement of ration, sales loading and general supervision of quarry workers.
2. Responsible for periodic production planning and timely execution to achieve operation efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Manage operation costs to ensure quarry operation achieve targeted goals and profit.
4. Control unit cost production and introduce cost saving measures.
5. Maintain Safety & Health Environment within quarry’s compound.
6. Attend to all administrative functions related to quarry operations i.e. stock take.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Engineering or Science or Mining or equivalent.
- Extensive experience managing plant and people in the minerals processing or similar industries.
- Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.
