Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and create a wide variety of pastry items such as cakes, cookies,
  • pastries, desserts, and bread in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of pastry cooks and kitchen staff in the absence of the Pastry Sous Chef.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of all pastry ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to develop new pastry recipes, techniques, and menu items.
  • Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and assist in ordering as needed to ensure adequate stock.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP guidelines, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, banquets, and catering functions by providing expertise in pastry preparation and presentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments in pastry arts, and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate creativity, precision, and attention to detail in all pastry preparations, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role (Thai, Asian, Indonesian dessert) Min. 2 years
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking principles.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Creative flair and passion for pastry arts.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

 

Position: Pastry Cook

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a variety of pastries, desserts according to recipes and established standards.
  • Measure and mix ingredients, decorate, and package pastries and desserts as needed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records of pastry ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock levels are low.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new pastry recipes and menu items.
  • Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to coordinate pastry production with other kitchen operations.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of pastry stations before and after service.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Pastry Cook (Thai, Asian, & Indonesian ) or in a similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, including mixing,decorating, and plating.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Creativity and passion for pastry arts.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and develop pastry skills.
