This role is responsible for supervising receiving of materials at the warehouse/ stores for the Smelter, Electro Refinery, Sulphuric Acid Plant, Precious Metal Refinery as well as Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Criticality is to match business requirement by verifying specifications in the purchase orders in order to match expectations of internal customers and suppliers Adhering to statutory regulations, health-safety-environment norms and quality certification compliances is an important element of the role.
Job Responsibility:
- Facilitating transportation of materials from supplier premises
- Supervising implementation of SOPs and Delegation of Authority (DOA) for inbound logistics, receipt, inspection
- Supervising timely receipt, inspection, GRN processing, storage and preservation of materials.
- Supervising receipt of items returned by user departments, inspection of the condition and corresponding documentation.
- Supervising compliance with security, health, safety, environmental norms as well as statutory regulations during the unloading operations
- Identifying the areas for improvement and implementing continuous improvement with respect to areas under jurisdiction
Job Requirement:
• Degree/ Diploma in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
• M.B.A. or Diploma in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management
• 8-10 years in procurement in process plants with at least 2-3 years of experience in leading teams
• Understanding of Engineering Drawings and equipment specification
• Understanding of process plants and utilities
