PT Cendana Indopearls is a Pearl farming company who is a global leader in eco-pearling, producing beautiful and desirable silver and white South Sea pearls. PT Cendana Indopearls has seven farms throughout some of the most remote areas of Indonesia together with leading breeding and hatchery facilities. Over 4 years, from hatchery to harvest, more than 3,000 hands are involved in the journey of each South Sea pearl.
We are looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team and help us to continue to build and maintain a smooth operational work by regular maintenance across all of our sites.
Job Description:
- Assisting in planning, executing, and developing strategies for the Engineering Department.
- Helping to collect data on the performance of subordinates.
- Coordinating activities and regulations concerning the subordinates.
- Compiling and analyzing data and work reports in the Engineering Department.
- Organizing docking activities for ships.
- Providing technical guidance/instructions and training to Department Heads/Technicians in the Engineering Department structure.
- Collaborating and maintaining good relationships with other departments to ensure harmony and achieve work targets.
- Assisting in directing work and upgrading the skills of technicians.
Qualification:
- At least 3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager in Engineering at a shipping company or a similar industry.
- Possess leadership qualities and the ability to handle various types of employee personalities.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Experienced in handling Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, and outboard engines.
- Understand and be knowledgeable about engine overhauls.
- Familiar with and experienced in working with PMS (Planned Maintenance System).
- Knowledgeable in electrical installations and troubleshooting.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in fiberglass and wooden boats.
- Knowledgeable about piping installations.
- Willing to be relocate to Bali and regularly work on remote sites.
