We are now seeking high caliber candidate to fill in the position of Sales and Service Engineer or Account Manager position (depending on the candidate’s profile) to be based in Pekanbaru (Kerinci town) in Indonesia. Job opportunities for Sales & Service Engineer and Service Engineer positions are also required in Perawang, Sumatra.
Account Manager/ Sales & Service Engineer
1. Account Manager
Job Summary
- Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager’s key role is to manage his/her teams of a group of technician(s) and/or sales and service engineer(s) to provide sales and account management services to ensure effective and profitable account management and sales and service support in the assigned customer account(s) and development of new customer account(s) according to business plans and/or his/her assigned roles and responsibilities.
- In particular, he/she is required to handle the customer accounts in Kerinci, Rau, Sumatra in Indonesia. He/she will also be required to work closely with customers and our team at site in Indonesia and other countries.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Customer account maintenance by maintaining existing customers to retain customers and optimize quality of service.
- Customer relation management by maintaining and enhancing customer relationships with existing clients.
- Business development and expansion by working with the sales team to identify and expand new business opportunities with new customers.
- Sales and service management by coordinating to provide quality service and technical support to assigned customers on-site and assist customers in troubleshooting in production and quality problems.
- Communication and coordination with customers and employees internally and externally.
- Planning, organizing, monitoring and reporting the sales and account management activities.
- Health and safety management by maintaining and adhering to health and safety policy and requirements relating to care of equipment, health and work safety.
- Staff development and supervision by maintaining good interpersonal relationship with team members and contribute to motivate and develop the team capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or related discipline.
- 2-4 years sales or related experience preferably in Chemical or paper/pulp industry.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Good command of computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good interpersonal, communication, problem solving and supervisory skill.
- Hardworking, committed and can work under pressure.
- Self motivated, responsible and independent with positive work attitude.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Willing to travel and to be based in client’s mill sites or in remote areas.
- Immediate available is an advantage.
2. Sales and Service Engineer / Senior Sales & Service Engineer
Job Summary
- Reporting to the Account Manager and/or Sales Manager, the Sales and Service Engineer’s role is to provide sales and engineering support services to his manager to ensure effective and profitable management in the assigned customer account(s) and development of new customer account(s) according to business plans and his/her assigned roles and responsibilities.
- In particular, he/she is required to handle the customer accounts in Kerinci, Rau, Sumatra in Indonesia. He/she will also be required to work closely with customers and our team at site in Indonesia and other countries.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Provide sales and engineering services support in maintaining daily operation of existing accounts including understanding the team function, monitoring parameter, feed equipment, reporting system, chemical management as well as development of new accounts. This requires good communication internally with our teams and externally with customers.
- Know key customers and provide support assistance to help maintain and enhance customer relationships with existing customers.
- Communicate and coordinate with technical support and sales teams to ensure provision of consistent and quality technical and sales support services to the clients.
- Provide quality service and technical support to assigned customers on-site and assist customers in troubleshooting in product production and quality problems.
- Conduct on-site survey and laboratory analysis, actual plant trial commissioning and monitoring, sample gathering for chemical analysis and microbiological tests, machine inspection, report writing and presentation.
- Record, analyze and administer relevant inventory and reports and information according to systems and requirements.
- Follow and maintain health and safety policy and requirements relating to care of equipment, health and work safety.
- Maintain good interpersonal relationship with team members and contribute to motivate and develop the team capabilities.
- Provide support to other customers in Indonesia and overseas if required.
Requirements
